How It Works & Troubleshooting

VPNPW Support Guide

Find issues by account, connection, route and billing stage. First identify the device, client and type of target service involved, then change one condition at a time to avoid losing track of the cause after changing the route, network and app settings together.

No email address required Unlimited simultaneous devices 7-day no-questions-asked refund

ACCOUNT / SUBSCRIPTION

Account & Subscription

Your account gives you access to the user panel, while the subscription link delivers available routes to the client. They serve different purposes: never enter login details in the client, and never share the subscription link publicly.

Do I need an email address to create an account?

No email address is required. Create an account with a username and password. Use the username to sign in to the user panel and the password to protect access to the account. After registration, store both securely and do not place your credentials in public documents or shared chats. Once in the panel, you can choose a plan, get a subscription and find the client entry point.

Where can I get my subscription link?

Sign in to the user panel and confirm that your account has an active subscription, then open the download or subscription section to get the link. The marketing pages do not display real subscription addresses or provide public installation packages. After copying the link, use the selected client’s subscription import feature instead of opening it as a regular webpage. The panel determines the available entry point and download eligibility.

How should I update my subscription link?

After importing the subscription into the client, use its Update Subscription or Refresh Configuration feature first. Before updating, confirm that the saved link came from the user panel; afterward, check that the route list is complete. If refreshing fails, leave the current network environment and try again, or copy the link from the panel again to replace the old record. Do not share the same link publicly.

Do I need to buy again after changing devices?

You do not need to buy again just because you changed devices. VPNPW supports unlimited simultaneous devices and works with Windows, macOS, iOS, Android and Linux. Sign in to the panel on the new device, obtain the client and subscription available to your account, and import them. If the old device is no longer in use, remove its local subscription and login information so your credentials do not remain on a device passed to someone else.

CONNECTION / DIAGNOSIS

Connections & Troubleshooting

Troubleshoot connection issues layer by layer: local network, client status, system permissions, route and target app. A connected status in the client is only the starting point; verify with the actual webpage or app that data is using the expected exit.

Why can’t a particular app use the proxy?

First confirm that the client is connected, then check whether routing rules set the app to direct connection or exclude it. Some apps use separate network components, private DNS or system-level network permissions, so they may behave differently from a browser. Temporarily switch to a proxy mode with broader coverage for comparison, then check system permissions, the app’s network settings and the client logs. Do not judge an entire route unusable based on one app alone.

What should I do if the subscription imports successfully but will not connect?

Update the subscription manually first and make sure the route list is not an old cache, then test another route in the same region. If no route can connect, check the system time, the client’s network permissions, local security software rules and whether the current network restricts the connection. You can also fully quit and reopen the client. Change only one condition at a time so you can identify whether the issue comes from the configuration, device or current network.

Why does the connection drop after switching from Wi-Fi to another network?

Switching networks changes the local address, default route and DNS state, which can invalidate the existing connection. After switching, wait for the system to confirm that the new network works normally, then reconnect the client. If it remains in the old state, close the current connection and establish it again. Frequent network changes may also require long-lived connections in apps to reload; this does not mean the subscription has expired.

A webpage opens, but video or AI tools do not work. What should I check?

Network connectivity only shows that the current route can transmit data; it does not mean a third-party service will accept the current exit, account region or content eligibility. Confirm that the target service is operating normally, then check the account region, content authorization, app cache and route exit for consistency. Streaming services and AI tools use different checks, so test them separately. After changing routes, signing in again or clearing the session can help rule out an old region state.

When troubleshooting a connection, record the current network, client and target service first, then adjust one item at a time. Changing several conditions at once can make an intermittent recovery impossible to reproduce and leaves no way to identify which step actually worked.

SPEED / ROUTES

Speed & Routes

Route performance varies with local access, exit region, target service and time of use. Choose based on sustained results in real tasks, not a single speed test, page load or client status label treated as a fixed performance promise.

What should I do about slowdowns during peak evening hours?

Peak-hour slowdowns may come from local access congestion, cross-border link fluctuations or a busy target service. Pause downloads or sync tasks first, then compare other routes for the same destination. A geographically closer exit is not always faster, so judge it by sustained performance during your actual usage hours. If webpages work but video buffers, lower the playback quality for comparison rather than attributing all platform load to the route.

In what order should I choose a route?

Choose an exit based first on the region required by the target service, then compare connection consistency and page response on your current network. For ordinary webpages, routes with a more direct path may be preferable. For long uploads, video playback or AI tasks, prioritize sustained stability over one-time opening speed. VPNPW covers 110+ countries / 220+ routes; the route directory and actual testing determine the available regions, route types and current status.

Why does a speed test differ from my actual experience?

A speed test usually reflects transfer conditions for a specific test target at a particular moment. Real-world use is also affected by the target server’s location, connection reuse, content delivery, application protocol and local device load. A high short-term peak does not guarantee stability for a long task, and one low result does not mean every service is slow. Test with the real destination by loading pages, transferring files or playing media, and observe sustained performance during your usual hours.

Do I need to switch routes frequently when route status changes?

Do not switch repeatedly because of a brief fluctuation. Frequently changing exits can interrupt active sessions and may cause third-party services to reassess your region. If the current task remains stable, continue using the route. Switch to another route in the same target region only after persistent timeouts, repeated disconnections or obvious buffering appear. After switching, verify the exit and target service again instead of checking only whether the client says it is connected.

BILLING / REFUNDS

Billing & Refunds

Monthly subscriptions and data packages use different data-management models. Before ordering, check the plan type, data allowance, reset rules and payment method. If an order issue occurs after payment, use the order record in the user panel as the basis for support.

What monthly plans are available, and when does data reset?

Monthly plans include ¥9.9/month with 60GB, ¥18/month with 250GB, and ¥28/month with 500GB. Data resets monthly on the activation date rather than being cleared on the first day of each calendar month. Choose based on everyday browsing, video playback, file transfers and multi-device use instead of comparing total data alone. The plan page shows the currently available options; confirm final order details in the user panel.

How does a mid-cycle upgrade work for a monthly subscription?

For a mid-cycle monthly upgrade, the price difference is prorated against the remaining days. Before upgrading, check the current plan, remaining status and target tier in the user panel, then continue after confirming the order details shown there. An upgrade changes the current subscription tier; it should not be replaced by creating another account or reimporting an old link. Afterward, update the client subscription so the local configuration reads the latest panel status.

What is the difference between a data package and a monthly subscription?

Data packages include ¥158/300GB, ¥358/1000GB and ¥658/3000GB. They remain available until used and never expire. Monthly subscription data resets each month on the activation date. Data packages suit users who want to manage cumulative usage, while monthly plans suit a fixed monthly allowance. They use different billing models, so choose according to usage frequency and task data requirements.

Which payment methods are supported, and how do I request a refund?

Alipay / WeChat Pay / USDT are supported. VPNPW provides a 7-day no-questions-asked refund. To request one, sign in to the user panel, open ticket support, describe the relevant order and refund request, and keep the order details in the panel available for verification. Do not place duplicate orders to test payment status. If the page has not updated after payment, check the order record first and then submit a ticket. See the refund policy for the applicable rules.

Continue Troubleshooting

If these steps do not identify the issue, submit a ticket through the user panel. Include the platform, client behavior, target service, current network and steps already tried to reduce repeated questions. For order-related matters, use the order record in the panel and never submit account credentials or subscription links on a public page.
